Artist Statement

I began my art career back in 1996.  Art became a outlet a way to make sense of pain and identity. I turned inward, finding in art a language for my emotions. It was there that I began to explore the complexities of thought and memory through fine art. My earliest works revolved around the concept of time — revisiting, reliving, and confronting moments from the past with honesty and vulnerability. I have exhibited in numerous group shows, held solo exhibitions, and had my work published — experiences that continue to affirm my belief in art as both a personal necessity and a universal form of connection. Art is not simply what I do; it is how I exist in the world. It is my way of breathing, reflecting, and being.
